Participating Countries

With 26 participating countries (all of them bordering the Mediterranean Sea), some 4,000 athletes, and a large number of trainers, executives, coaching and facilitating staff, plus a remarkable crowd of viewers and fans, the Games cannot but be an appealing and spectacular event.

The importance of such event both in terms of sports and politics might gain even more momentum, in the hope of peace and reconciliation in the Mediterranean region by 2025.  The Games might acquire even more political relevance, should Palestine and Israel become participating countries, thus giving the Games even greater historical and international value.
